Button Tool

Hi,
I'm using Acrobat 8 Professional and I would like to add a button tool. It appears that it does not allow me to place it where I would like - its as if it is connected to a grid or something? How can I move it more freely?
Appreciate the assistance!

If you're talking about creating a Button Field, check View > Snap to Grid and make sure a checkmark does not appear adjacent to the menu command. If you see a checkmark, select the command to remove it.ted
