Calculating fields from a drop-down

Newby question. I need the create a series of drop-down fields with ratings of 0 to 10. These are then totalled in a calculated field. Seems pretty simple. I created a series of combo boxes with 0 through 10 in the Options and formatted as a number. The combo box istelf seems to work fine. The problem I have is that when I total up the fields with a calculated field it counts the 0 as a 1. For example, if all ten have 0 selected the total reads 10. If I change one to a 6, it reads 15. How do I get these fields to be calulated as a zero?

I'm doing this with Acrobat 8, and Designer.

Thanks in advance,
Roger

If you are creating the fields in Designer you will need to check the settings on each of the drop down fields. Select the fields and then look at the Binding tab in the Object window. Place a check mark in the Specify Item Values option and then change the value column to the correct numbers. The numbers in the Value column is what will be used in the calculations you've created.

mea culpa. I said I was using Designer, but I'm not. I couldn't figure out a simple way to get the scripts to add up my fields.

Anyone know why my zeros are ones in Acrobat Professional 8, not Designer?
