Apologies for what is probably the most stupid post on here

I have a simple table with 3 columns where I want to display the percentage reduction in column 3

essentially it looks like

Column a | Column b | Column C
| |
£ Spent | Saving% | Potential saving

The simple calc should be (c = a-b)

I've tried working this out, but I am extremely new to A9

my rough table can be viewed here http://img690.imageshack.us/i/tableown.jpg/

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

You can use the simplified notation script for the calculation of the C fields, provided your A and B fields do not contain special characters or spaces. Let's say your first A field is called Spent1 and your first B field is called Saving1, then you enter this in the first C field's calculation:

Spent1 - Saving1
