Calculations for subtractions

I know I've seen other comments on this, but decided to start my own.

I want to do a simple subtraction from an income/expense table in my pdf (using Acrobat 9 Pro). Using the simplified field notation with "-" doesn't work when I put in the field names as such:

Total Inc Budget-Total Expenses Budget

These are the totals for income & expense subtotals throughout the table. What am I missing from this notation?

Are the tool tips reference involved in this at all? Thanks for any help you can offer.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.1.3, Windows

You can not have spaces, other white space characters, or '.' in the field names. The 'simplified' refers to the field names and calculations.

If your field names have these characters, you need to write a custom javascript calculation.

I changed out the field names and it worked! Thanks much.
