I have created an electronic PDF version of a purchase order that I can fill out and send as an attachment to any of my suppliers. Is there a way to lock the form (specifically, the text fields) so that it can't be modified ? thanks
You can add a password to the PDF that prevents editing (Advanced- Security) and/or you can Flatten the filled PDF to bake the interactive features ( form fields) into it so they are no longer interactive but part of the content.
A free tool you can add to your Acrobat toolbar to make the flatten command one-click can be found at www.pdfscripting.com (under Free Content, Free Automation tools list).
