Answered

I set up a form, started in word, converted to word doc to pdf and made the pdf a form.

I filled the form out and the text I entered is not viewable, except for the check marks. What could have possibly happened the text is not viewable?

It sounds like you might have some corruption in your form fields. Although it doesn't seem that you have this specific issue, the script here may help repair the damage:

I would also recommend you update Acrobat, It is currently at version 9.4.6:

Thx for you answer. So, am I to understand that this problem would occur if the form was created on a PC and filled-in on a Mac?

Only if filled in with Apple's Preview application.

Is there an easier way to develop/create forms?
