Can't view text in form fields

I have added text to form fields and saved a document with no problems. Accessed the document after saving and works like a charm. Now when I open this document, the text in the completed fields 'flash' once for a fraction of a second, then the text disappears, and I am unable to see, read, review or change. Any ideas on what is going on here?

Acrobat Standard 7.0.9, Windows

Probably some code is 'resetting' the form. I'd have to see the form.
