Change static text in PDF form

Hello,

I don't know if this question belongs under Forms or General Acrobat Topics, but anyway:

I want to change an application where PDF forms (acroforms, not XFA) with named form fields are filled progammatically using the Gnostice PDFtoolkit. However, my problem is not how to change the program, but that I also need to change the static text of the PDF forms themselves.

I have tried to use Adobe 7.0 professional, and it does recognize that it is text (I can select, copy to clipboard, etc.), but anyway is seems impossible to edit it!

The Advanced Edting -> Touch Up Text Tool doesn't seem to react to the text either.

I don't know how the forms have been created originally.

Does anyone know what this is about, if and in that case how the text could be edited?

(I am not too happy about the idea of making the forms from scratch just to change some text...)

Is security set on the document? File --> Properties --> Security tab. If the security has been set to disallow changes then you'll either need to get the password or re-create the file.
