how do i change the email address to which a filled up form is submitted after the Distribut Form button is pressed. I have created a form and want to change the email address to which the form is sent after users fill it up. After completion when I hit the submit button, the form is automatically addressed to one of my personal emails, I want it to be addressed to my company email.

I've red the previos posts and changed my identity in the edit -> preferences menu but was unsuccesfull. The form is still being sent to the wrong address.

Can someone please help?

Thank you.

Hi Syounger,

You could just open the form and go through the Distribute process again, change the email address then save to the same name (overwrite the previous form) or a new name (for a different form)

Hope this helps,

I do not see anyplace to change my email address during the distribution process (I am using LiveCycle Designer ES2). I can select email addresses from my contact list if I want to send them the form right now, but there is no place to change my personal email. I have another submit button on the form, so I'd just as soon disable the toolbar Submit button in Reader. Is there a way to do that?

I have a question also along these lines (and I must confess in advance that I am not a versed Adobe X user).

I have learned just enough about Adobe X to enable me to create a fillable PDF. The problem I have is with the user's ability to save and return this form to us. On the form, a purple header appears with two buttons (Highlight Fields and Submit Form). How can I remove the option for the user to click to "Submit Form"?

I do not want forms returning to me directly, and somehow I've setup this form to distribute and return with my direct email address. But rather we want our sales reps to email this form to clients, allow them to fill it out, and "save as" locally, then attach and return the form to us via their email (and to their Sales Executive directly, not to the author of the form).

I've been randomly getting returned forms from clients and I shouldn't be, so how can I remove this feature so all they can do is save the fillable form locally to their computer(and not to flat because sometimes forms are incomplete and require additional input or people to finish them) and then simply attach it in an email to their rep? Any help would be most appreciated.

Sincerely,
Adobe X Novice

Amber,

Instead of putting the form through the distribution process, you just need to create a button on the form that's set up to send the document to an email address, and then Reader-enable the form (File -- SaveAs -- Reader Extended PDF -- Enable Additional Features). You'll need a copy of the form before you distributed it to do this. The users will then have to be sent this updated form.

Sounds great!! Thank you sooooooooooo much. One question though, why is the button within the form necessary?

Cheers,

A button is not necessary, but it can make it easier for the user. It initiates an email to the correct address with the PDF automatically attached, assuming the user's system is set up correctly. The alternative to using a button is educating the user to save the file and manually attach it to an email to the correct address.
