Hi

I have a PDF form that will be emailed to be filled to about 100-200 people. When we get the form back, we want to collect that data from each form and generate an spread sheet for easy evaluation of the data collection.

Please guide me how we can collect the data from, and can transform to a spread sheet ?

thanks
JJ

Have you looked at Ted Padova's blog entry Extended Forms Features?

Under the "Forms" menu option there are the "Compile Returned Forms" and "Merge Form Data => Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet".

Wow, Sir !

You are always very very helpful ! I cant express my respect for you in words !

Actually i will not use the Acrobat's distribute option to send the form. Now it will be online so that people will download and then email back to us. Now how would you suggest to collect the forms and generate a spread sheet ???

Because lets suppose that the file name is "blah blah form.pdf" and 140 people downloaded that and returned that after filling their details. So how to manage the same file name for 140 people ?

You can either rename the returned files an put them in a folder or you can create a different folder for each returned form.

okay thanks a lot.

Is there a way we can automate that ? like when the person filled a form and submit the email button, the pdf attachment gets his name from the name field and append that to the original file name ? can this be done ?>
