Is there a way to combine protected documents that are form fillable, with unprotected documents? We have standard contracts that cannot be manipulated, but need to be combined and sent with proposals. The document assembly feature doesn't seem to work if the contract is protected.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8, Windows

Hi vbliden,

If you have Acrobat 8 Professional you can create a PDF Package that contains both protected and unprotected files in addition to digitally signed PDFs and files of other formats such as a Word document or Excel spreadsheet. The individual files in the package are not modified as in the Combine Files feature, so the security settings (or lack of) are maintained for each file in the package. Ted Padova gives an overview of this new feature in this article-

Hope that helps,

Dimitri
