I have Adobe 8 Pro and Livecycle Designer 8. I am in the process of making fillable pdf forms. However, some employees have Adobe 6.0. In order for them to fill out the form, save as it, forward it, sign it, etc., do they need to have an updated version or is there some way I can save it for all users (no matter what version they have) to use the form?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8, Windows

Hi nbonds,

I assume you mean some employees only have "Adobe Reader 6"- Adobe is a company not a product name :) If you want Reader users to be able to Save and Sign the filled-in form, they will have to update to at least Adobe Reader 7 or have a license of the full Acrobat product.
Also, when you create the form you will need to enable Usage Rights in order for Adobe Reader 7 and above users to save and sign the form.

Hope that helps,

Yes. :D Some employees only have Adobe Reader 6. My next question: How do I enable Usage Rights? Do I do that in LiveCycle Designer?

Hi again,

You enable Usage Rights in Acrobat, not LC Designer. If you create the form in LC Designer you need to save it as a PDF then open it in Acrobat to apply the rights. Steps to apply the rights including screen shots are available in this article here at AUC-
