Converting Radio Buttons to Check Buttons without LiveCycle

I have a PDF form generated from a Word doc with fields & check boxes already in it. Acrobat 9 has taken a group of (multiple choice) check boxes and made them into (mutually exclusive) radio buttons. I cannot determine how to make them check boxes instead without going into LiveCycle and, when I do use LC, the fields in the form that have calculations (sum) in them no longer function (which I also can't figure out how to fix!).

Without using LC, is there a way in Pro that I can change radio buttons to check boxes?

Thx...

When you converted the word doc into a PDF, how did you add the form fields? Is this a LiveCycle form or an AcroForm?

I'll assume that you originally created an AcroForm. Look on the Forms Menu. Select the "Add or Edit form fields" entry. this will put Acrobat into Form editing mode. Delete the radio buttons and replace them with Check Boxes.

You'll find a free video on creating forms with Accrobat here:

Scroll down twards the bottom of the page and look for the section labeled "Creating Your First PDF Form in Acrobat". Of particular interest will be the one on using Acrobat 9 to make a form.
