converting Word forms to pdf

1. When converting a form from Word to Acrobat, the previously created Word Combo box choices are not converted. Is there a setting from word or Acrobat that should be clicked to preserve these.

2. When converting a form from Word to Acrobat, the form fields that were created in Word to expand as extra characters were entered (like a name) does not work in Acrobat. Is there a way to preserve this or enter this choice in Acrobat. I am assuming not as the words would go crazy.

But the drop down boxes to come through to the pdf would save time.

Thank you for answering.

1. Make sure you convert the file using the PDFMaker option, not by printing to a PDF. That *should* preserve the form fields.
2. That's not possible with an Acrobat form. Only a form created in LiveCycle can do that.

1. Acrobat's PDF Maker and form wizard do not recognize or create forms form MS Office. If you want a product that will carry over form fields and some of the interactivity, look at Carl Young's blogs:

2. Dynamic form fields are only available in Dynamic PDF created by LiveCycle Designer or LiveCycle ES.
