Copied Fields Are Linked?

Hi,

I'm building a form in Acrobat to collect bank account information. There are 10+ sections for collecting the account numbers, routing numbers, etc. for each account and each section is more or less identical to the others. I added the fields for the first section and then figured I'd just copy/paste the fields into the next section and so on. However, when all is said and done the fields in each section appear to be linked to their corresponding field in every other section (meaning when I enter a value in one field, it propagates to every other field). I'm not familiar enough with Acrobat to know what's going on here, but I definitely want each field to be unique and I'd rather not have to rename each field one by one to achieve this.

Is there some way to copy/paste fields so that the pasted fields are unique iterations of the copied fields? Or is there some way to break the link between fields after the fact?

Thanks,
Scott

Yeah, that's the easy answer. However, I'm looking at 50+ fields here and I'd rather not go through them and rename them one by one. It's not the end of the world if I have to - I'm just wondering if there's an easier way. Some kind of "break link" or "paste as unique" command...

Any ideas?

Besides cut and paste, you could have used the 'place multiple copies' which would have created unique names for each copy of the field or use the 'template' object to spawn new pages with unique field names, A Lesson in Templates for Adobe Acrobat by Dave Wright.
