Create an 'attach files' button in a pdf (mac)

Hello,

I've searched for an answer to this but the posts I've found are over 3 years old so am hoping there's a clear solution now. I'd like to ad an 'attach files' button to my pdf form. It would then be submitted with the 'submit form' function.

I don't know anything about javascript or advanced acrobat workings so would need to be stepped through it like a 5 year old if it is possible. I see a lot of Livecycle posts around this but I'm on a mac using Acrobat Pro.

My form is a design briefing sheet that would most likely have word documents included and will be accessed by clients in Acrobat Reader.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers,
Leah =)

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.3.1, Macintosh

The problem is you cannot prompt the user to attach files with JavaScript if it has to work with Reader. That's not completely true, because it will work if the document has the corresponding usage right, but you'll need Adobe's LiveCycle Reader Extensions for that, since Acrobat cannot apply the required usage right.

Reader users can use the "Attach File" tool if the document has been Reader-enabled with Acrobat, but you would have to instruct your users how to use it.
