Can I create a pdf form, for users to fill-out, from an excel file?

Hi --

You sure can! Use the Convert to Adobe PDF button on the Adobe Acrobat toolbar added to Excel, or choose the command from the Acrobat menu.

Once the file is converted to PDF you have a few choices, depending on the program version you are working with:

If you are using Acrobat 8 Professional, choose Forms > Run Form Field Recognition command to locate and name probable fields. You'll have to tweak the results as they aren't likely perfect. The fields are modified in LiveCycle Designer.If you are using Acrobat 7 Professional, you can add the form fields using the tools on the Forms toolbar, or open the file in LiveCycle Designer from Acrobat and add the fields there.

If you are using a Standard version of Acrobat, or Professional in version 6 or older, add the fields using the tools on the Forms toolbar.
