Digital Signatures in a form

I am creating a annual service maintenance contract form for our sales reps to have on their iPads. This is will be a document they can open and complete on behalf of the customer (while in the customers presence). We also enter in their credit card information and want a way for the client to accept the contract as they see on the screen through a digital signature. How does that work? I tried to add in a digital signature but when you click it options come up to look for a digital file ID, etc.

What is the best way to handle this need?

That is because for a digital signature to be legally binding, there needs to be an electronic confirmation of the signer's identity. You might want to search the Adobe site for more information about how Acrobat handles electronic signatures.

What PDF viewer are you using on the iPad that allows filling forms and signing digital signature fields?

Nothing yet, but we may test a program for the iPhone and iPad called DocuSign that might work for digital signatures in this case.
