If by editing you mean you want to change text, add form fields or images, etc, those capabilties are not available in Adobe Reader. You can make changes to a PDF in Reader if it has been enabled with Usage Rights by the author, but these changes are only for things like filling out form fields or making review comments and markups on the PDF, not for edits to the original content. You will need Acrobat Professional for that.
