I am a researcher and have created a pdf file with 8 pro that has a submit button on it. Using this avenue hopefully to be able to get adequate data from the student population but for the life of me cannot get the submit button to work. I always end up with an email error. An thought or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Can you provide a little more detail on the error you are getting when you click on your email button and possibly what properties your email button has?
