I work for a school district and have placed our job application on our website. We would like prospective employees to click a "Submit" or "Email Me" button on the application and have the entire PDF (not FDF or XML) emailed to the HR officer. It's important that entire form is sent back to keep the HR officer from being confused. I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro for a Mac and simply cannot figure this out. I've gone to training classes in 3 different states and have yet to find an instructor who can help me. ANY help is sincerely appreciated.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.0, Macintosh

Ask for your money back from these courses, first of all...

Create your button, go to its Properties, add a "Submit a Form" MouseUp action, and under Export Format select the last option: "PDF The complete document". As the URL to submit to, enter this: "mailto:me [at] myserver [dot] com" (without the quotes). Done.
If you want to adjust parameters like the subject, CC list or body message you will need a simple script that uses the mailDoc() method.

I've tried that but it wants you to use your desktop email application to send it. If you don't have one, you have to save it manually and email it. I want the user to simply click a 'Submit' button and have the entire form sent. Is that possible?

How can it be sent if there's no email application installed?

Check out:
http://www.PDFEmail.netPDFEmail.net sends PDF form submissions through SMTP, without 3rd party e-mail software such as Outlook. PDFs work on Windows and Mac. PDFEmail scripts are fully customizable, and work right out of the box.

PDFEmail.net creates ASP.net server-side scripts you upload to your web server. PDFEmail.net requires zero programming experience.

Just, set the submit action URL on the PDF to point the script and distribute your form.

NOTICE:
Adobe Reader users can only submit XFDF, FDF, XML, and XDP data formats, unless the PDF has Extended Rights. To bypass this restriction, PDFEmail.net can take the XFDF, FDF, XML, or XDP data submission and automatically "Merge" the data back with a blank form and attach to an e-mail message.
