I have forms that have been created in Word and converted to PDF's and if there is extensive changes, we edit them in Word and rework the form. However, if the change is a small text change or something minor, we perform the function using the forms editor in Adobe Acrobat.
Recenty we have noticed that editing the text caused the form to be skewed - the box missaligned or the text jumps - the form is altered - these are input forms and are utilized by our intranet.
We recenly had some Adobe 9 patches installed by our network team, could this have been a result of that patch?
Thanks,

You can replace the underlying PDF content layer and leave the PDF forms layer, so if you edit the original document form which your PDF form was created, convert the edited document to a PDF with a different name then your form, you can then replace the page of your form with the new PDF page. You may now need to adjust the form fields for better alignment or relocation.
