No, Adobe Reader does not permit extracting pages.

I'd like to be able to extract selected pages out of a document and put into a newly created PDF document. I'm using Acrobat Standard 7.0. When I select the pages and choose "extract" I'm given a choice of a "range" of pages to extract. I don't want the entire "range" I want the selected pages. When I click OK and send the "extracted" pages to a new folder I named I get all the pages in the range not just the selected pages. Is this something I'm missing, mistaken on, not available in Acrobat Standard or just the way it works. If the last applies that is VERY inconvenient. What's the point of selecting pages for extraction when you only get a choice of a "range"?
