Fields won't size correctly

Hello everyone,

Any field I try and insert, such as text field, link field, and so forth, is set to a specific size that is far larger than I need. For example, I try to insert a link field on top of 10 point text, the field's mininum size encompasses two lines of 10 point text.

In the past, I have created PDF Operation & Maintenance Manuals with a Table of Contents at the beginning of the document. I insert links into each listing of the Table of Contents that sends the user directly to the page pertaining to the listing. As it stands now, one link field will encompass two listings that should each receive their own link field.

Is there a way I can have the field be sized by a unit smaller than is set to?

I did. That worked. Thank you.

I had found the "Measuring" category in Preferences, and I thought that should have fixed it, but obviously it didn't. Thanks for pointing me toward that.
