Fillcolor

Hi,

I am trying to set a fillcolor for an input field, i.e. something like bright pink.

This works fine as long as I am in focus on the field. When out of focus, the color returns to the usual blue.

Is there any way to set this to be permanently a different color?

Alex

Hi alexpapa,

For a form created in Acrobat (since you are in the Acrobat Forms forum I'll assume that's a yes), you can set the fill color of a field by opening the Properties dialog and selecting the fill color under the Appearance tab.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

This is how I am setting the fill color, however when opened in Reader it defaults back to blue until I click on the field - only then does it show the color that I have set

Hi alexpapa,

Have you looked at the Preferences in Reader to see if field highlighting is turned on? If you turn it off, then does it work?

You can turn highlighting off by adding a Document Level script to the PDF. See the App object runtimeHighlight property in the Acrobat JavaScript Reference.

Hope this helps,
