I need to create a 1-2 page layout in InDesign with chained placeholder text boxes that can then be used as the form for users to drop in their text.

I use CS3, Acrobat 8.2.5 on a Mac

Thanks lots!
KJ

Do you mean a comb field?

There is form field type of this in Acrobat.

Thanks for the reply George.
Did you mean a combo box? I don't know what a comb field is.
I just need something that will allow a large amount of text 300-900 words to flow from one text field to another. These are "chained" in InDesign.
Thanks,
KJ

You will have to write some script in the Acrobat form, and this is not the easiest thing to get right, since one is counting characters and trying to guess the number of characters that fit into a field. Acrobat supports multi line fields and LiveCycle Designer with dynamic forms supports expandable form fields.
