Form functionality of .pdf opened in Mac Preview

I have created several .pdf forms using Adobe Designer from the 7.0 Professional Suite in Windows XP. The forms are intended to be distributed via email and, using a submit button in the form, returned to the sender in .pdf format. Everything works great when opened in Acrobat Reader in Windows, however when the forms are opened in Mac's Preview application, the field tabbing is out of order and the submit button isn't recognized as a functional element of the form. I know we have quite a few Mac users who will be using the form. Is there something I can do to to make my form compatible for use in Mac applications?

I encountered the similar problem. For me it turned out a preference issue on mac computers, telling acrobat reader to take over pdfs and preview to become secondary.

In my email, I just ended up providing a link to Adobe Reader and have not received any other problems from it.
