How do you send a confirmation to the end user that the submission has happened. My users say they can not tell if the submit by email button has actually sent the form back to me. Confirmation page???

If you are submitting to web script page, the web script page can provide the confirmation. If you directly emailed the form, you will have to send the confirmation or have your e-mail client/server send an auto respond confirmation.

If you use MS Outlook for your e-mail transmissions, your users should be able to view their 'sent items' folder to see if a transmission went through. Messages in this folder should have the date and time sent so that you know exactly when it was transmitted. Our network server automatically sends out an e-mail message to the sender if an e-mail didn't go through.

Have you tried Reader-enabling your form in Acrobat Pro. 8 first?
