form restrictions

I recently transferred forms form Page Maker to Adobe Professional. I have edited the documents (adding buttons, etc.) and saved them. Once I reopen them to make other changes I get a message saying the document is restricted so that functions can be used in Adobe Reader and I have to save another copy in order to make changes. I have not knowingly restricted them. What is happening and how can I fix this?

You may have enabled the PDF with Adobe Reader usage rights. If so, you need to save a copy of the form, open the copy and edit it, then reenable the file.
