Form submission, special characters issue

Hello,

I'm trying to use PDF as an HTML form and send data to a web page with a submit button.
My problem is that it doesn't work with some special characters (french ones in my case) such as é, è or à. I've already tried a whole bunch of different encoding conversions without success. I always end up with characters like or ?

Could you please help me with that?

Regards

Thank you for your answer !

I've managed to make it work but I'm not sure to do it the right way.

So, I "urlencode" the characters just before submitting the form and then "urldecode" them when the form is submitted.

I find it a bit "ugly"...

This tool was made to UNI-encode characters inside the PDF form (alert texts, form fiels, etc.) but it cannot encode an URL.

For URLs the rule is simple: never use any accented character nor any space !

Yes I know, I'm not using the tool you suggested but it somehow led me to the solution I've used which is to encode the characters before sending them to the server.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your help!
