Hello,
I used the form wizard to auto-create fields in a PDF made from an Excel file. It works fine, placing fields on the PDF nicely in the boxes. The problem I have is the fields are text-boxes and I need check-boxes. Is there a way to mass change text-boxes to check-boxes? Or to force the wizard to create check-boxes instead of text boxes?
Separately, once I have form boxes in a PDF, is there a way to export the form data to a file and then import that data into another PDF?

The auto-field detection process does require some manual intervention and unfortunately they're isn't an easy way to mass change form fields. However, there might be a few things you can do to your Excel form first. For example, try the following for check boxes:
• Use stroked square-, circular-, or diamond-shaped objects to designate check boxes.
• Make graphic objects symmetrical and uniform in appearance.
• You can use special characters from fonts such as Symbol, Zapf Dingbats, Wingdings, and Webdings.
• Put text labels to the right of check box objects; they will be used tocreate the field names.

Yes, this is the main tip, for Acrobat form wizard:round = radio button
square = checkbox

Hello Lori, et.al.
My problem is that the wizard is not recognizing my radio button space holders at all! I have multiple choice questions and the wizard sees none of the 100+. help! I've tried to follow the tips published by adobe but too no avail. what am i doing wrong? it sees my navigation and converts them, but not my radio buttons. i posted this quesiton in another area of your help site too.
