I cannot find this exact problem in the archives.

Am running Acrobat 9.4.2. I would like to convert a Word form using auto-field detection. Step one in that tutorial is to run the Forms Wizard. Every time I attempt to run the wizard, it crashes the program and gives the following problem signature:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BEX
Application Name: Acrobat.exe
Application Version: 9.4.2.220
Application Timestamp: 4d467491
Fault Module Name: StackHash_0a9e

I have tried disabling McAfee's firewall in case it is a virus-program problem. I have closed other unnecessary startup programs immediately after reboot before attempting to run the Forms Wizard. It always crashes the program with the above problem signature.

I re-ran Check for Updates, but the message advises there are no more updates.

Appreciate any help.

9.4.2 has a lot of problems. At the Adobe forums you'll find lots of very serious complaints. Do a google search on "Acrobat 9.4.2". I suspect that Adobe is furiously trying to figure it out. For now, as painful as it might be, your best bet is to roll your version back.
