Hello all. Please forgive me for being new and possibly asking something that has been asked before. I did attempt to search, but was not sure exactly what to search on. If this has been asked before, just link me to a post and I will be happy to read :)

I am in the process of creating a form in Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended. In my form, I am asking questions where the answers are the Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neither, Agree and Stongly Agree. The user will place a check in a box that matches with their agreement level (imagine any survey you have filled out before).

I need for there to be a number value associated with each check box. So any time that a user selects the box for Strongly Disagree, that would equate to a value of 1. Disagree = 2, etc.

Then, after all the questions are answered, there would be a total score at the bottom. By taking all of the answers that the user has provided, a total would be created.

Can someone point me in to the right direction on how to set this up? Again, sorry for the newbie status :)

Thanks again for the assistance........

Simple. Set the "Export Value" of each checkbox (Properties->Options) to the appropriate # then use calculations on the total field (Properties->Calculate->Value is: The Sum of the following fields) to add up all the checkboxes.Jim Healy
