Help! I've created a drop-down box with the List tool on a form, but it always highlights the default information with a very dark blue color, which does not print well. I'd like to change the setting to white or none, but I can't figure out how. The background settings in the list box format area don't affect the highlight. Thanks so much! MJ

Choose Edit > Preferences > Forms and change the highlight color to something lighter.

Thanks for answering my question, Carl, but I've tried that and it doesn't work. Background: I originally set up the form for a client in Acrobat 6 Professional. The drop-list box appears in a deeper blue shade which does not print well in grayscale. In order to make the form fillable and saveable, I opened and distributed the form out of Acrobat 8 Professional, which is available to me on another machine. This works great for the saving issue; however, I was not able to change the highlight color in 8, either. In fact, when I pull down the edit>preferences>forms, it shows the highlight color as red, not blue, so I don't believe the two are connected. I'm stumped! I'm hoping you can help. I could send you the form if that would help. Thanks so much,

Hi. just go to tools>comments and markup>Highlight text tool. highlight the text you want, put the cursor on the highlighted colour and right click.
Then go to properties>appearance> color and change to whatever colour you want as well you can change the Opacity by using the slide

I have a single Highlight Color button in my menu. It happens to be yellow. If I want to highlight something in a different color, say, blue, then I have to right-click to bring up "Highlighter Tool Properties", then click on the color button, and choose the blue color. HOWEVER, as I blow through a PDF to edit I very often want several different highlight colors. It would be a great time-saver if I could create and have several color highlighting buttons displayed simultaneously in my menu bar, so I could just Highlight-Text/Click-Blue, and then Highlight-Text/Click-Yellow, and so on. Is this possible, either with my Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.3.3, or with an Add-On? [Same question, really, for establishing multiple Underline Color tool buttons.] Thanks in advance.
