How to Copy/Paste Checkboxes without Them Being Linked

Hi,

In Adobe Acrobat Pro 6.06, I am working with a form I scanned as a .jpg and then made into a .pdf file in Photoshop.

The form has many check boxes of the same size. I'd like to create several and then shorten the process by selecting the ones created, and copying and pasting them.

But when I do, the copied check boxes are linked to the old ones; i.e., when one of the copied ones is checked, so is the one from which it was copied, and vice versa.

In Acrobat Pro 6, is there a way to copy and paste a check box without the pasted one being linked to the original?

Thanks,
Bill

FURTHER GOOGLING SHOWED ME THAT I NEED TO CHANGE THE CHECK BOX NAMES IN PROPERTIES TO DE-CLONE THEM. IS THAT THE ONLY WAY TO SOLVE MY ISSUE? --BB

Yes, you need to rename them.
