Hi,
I have a form that we use in Word. The form is setup for 1 objective and scrolls text as much as the user writes. In addition the user can copy and paste the objective section (text questions) as many times as necessary to populate the form with as many objectives as is necessary.

I dont see a straightforward way of doing this with acrobat 9.x.

I thought about trying to create a form with 5 sets of objective fields and making them hidden and then trying to unhide them with some sort of trigger. However i'm not sure if the form would scroll or would just be pages of empty area if left unselected.

any advice is appreciated. However please understand i'm a novice with forms creation.

thanks

What you're asking about is best handled with a dynamic (as opposed to static) XFA form, which you can create with Adobe LiveCycle Designer, which comes with Acrobat Pro for Windows. The learning curve can be a bit steep, but there are a number of tutorials here that should help.

Although it would be possible to create a form in Acrobat that takes advantage of templates for this, the resulting form would not work with Reader (unless you have LiveCycle Reader Extensions), and the learning curve may be steeper. In short, not recommended for a novice.
