I know how to set up a field so that it is the sum, product, maximum, or minimum of 2 or more other fields. However, I have not found a way to make a field the DIFFERENCE between two other fields. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Use either the "simplified field notation" or use the "custom calculatilon" script box.

I've seen the simplified field notation and custom calculation boxes, but what exactly do I type in?

Hi SusanGenaro,

Select the field and right click to choose Properties. In the Calculate tab check the radio button for Simplified Field Notation, then click the Edit button to the right of the Simplified Field Notation window. In the window that pops up enter-
Field1-Field2 and click Close.
Of course, you will need to use the actual names of your fields in place of Field1 and Field2. Do not use spaces in your field names.

Hope that helps,

Dimitri
