Hi,

I am new to acrobat and I am trying to disover whether something is possible.

I am creating an order form consisting of seven fields. The first is a primary product number the rest are secondary product numbers which are chidren of the primary.I have his product info in excel.

Firstly I want to create a drop down menu based on this data without having to type it.

Secondly I want to link the children with the parent. I do not want customers to be able to select secondary products which are not related to the chosen primary product.

I am using acrobat pro 8

Many thanks

First off, there's no easy way to import data from Excel into a Combo Box in Acrobat. You can use a workaround using OpenOfficeOrg Writer but Acrobat won't help you.

You can accomplish the second part of your question using a JavaScript. Download my 101FormseTips.pdf file from Acrobat Users and look over tip #78 for the JS code.
