Importing data from one form to another or from excel to a form

I created a questionnaire form with Acrobat 8 which I have used to get data from multiple people. I want to use this data to populate forms that I have scanned into acrobat and inserted text boxes for details that I put in the questionnaire.

Is there some way that I can automatically fill in a form with data from one of the people that I sent my questionnaire to?

Thanks,
Gideon

You can use the Forms > Manage Form Data > Import Data menu command to import data. The field names have to be identical on the populated form and the form you want to use for the imported data. However, if you scanned a form and the form doesn't have fields, you can't import data into data fields in your PDF. The details could be imported from the form fields assuming again you have identical field names.

If you're getting data from multiple users, you're best off creating a form in Acrobat, use the Distribute button in the Forms toolbar, and collect the data in a PDF Package when the data are returned to you. For some precise steps on how to do this, look over many of the tips and techniques posts and the blogs area here on Acrobat Users.
