I am having trouble trying to bypass the "incorrect structure of pdf" error. I am currently using Adobe Acrobat and have created an interactive form. However, when the answers are send back to me from survey takers, the original form is sent back to me in a FPF. I tried to export the form into xml (for Excel) but the error message appears. Anyone have any suggestions?

I think the question here is "Why are for your forms returned in FPF?" This format has nothing to do Acrobat and PDF. Do you mean "FDF"

FDF (Forms Data Format) is automatically sent back when you choose a mailto: as your submit option. You can bring this data into Excel by choosing in Acrobat 10

Tools (right side of the screen)
Forms > More Form Options > Manage Form Data > Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet
Click Add Files (browse to your returned FDF)
Click Export

This creates a csv (Comma Separated Value) that any database on the planet can read and Excel can natively open.

I did mean to say FDF. What if I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9? (Not Acrobat 9)

mcradiology,

Same info applies, here are the steps for Acrobat 9 Professional, you use the Forms menu at the top of the screen:

Forms > Manage Form Data > Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet
Click Add Files (browse to your returned FDF)
Click Export

Let me know if this helps :)
