I am using Acrobat 7 Pro and have a question that may have already been answered. I am designing forms for work (law enforcement) and the same information is used several times (ie, suspect name, address, etc.). This information, however, goes on several different forms. I have been able to insert some forms together so that they fill in but the variables are tremendous. Is there a way for a user to fill out the basic form and then when opening subsequent types of forms the information is imported? I would LOVE some help with this!

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 7.0, Windows

Hi gbk9cop,

Bascially the answer is No you cannot auto fill form fields on one PDF with data from another PDF. If the forms could all be combined into one large PDF with many pages then you could do it since it would be a single document. Sounds like you are already doing that so that's about as good as it gets.

You could give the Auto Complete feature a try- it will give you drop-downs for text you've recently written in other fields. Saves a few keystrokes....

Hope this helps,

Dimitri
