insert a color code in a form text box when color option is selected

I have a form with two columns:
the first columns lists an item and I want to allow the person filling in the form to color code the item they entered in the first list.
there are three color codes; green, yellow red.
Is there a way when filing in a form that you can script a way for the person filling in the form to select the color of the box?
There is no text going in that box in column 2 only the color code.

If you have the logic to determine the color, you can do it; in the second column specify a text field (easisest), make it read-only, and then set its fillColor to the color you need.
