INSERT KEY

I am trying to figure out how to use the type over feature that is usually accessed by pressing the insert key. At least that is how it works right here in this block where I am now typing. However on a form I am filling out in Acrobat professional 9, pressing the insert key does not accomplish the same procedure. I would be deeply grateful if someone would advise if this is even possible with my version of AA. (pro ver 9)

With appreciation

It doesn't appear to be. The Insert key has no effect for me with Acrobat 7 Pro. It inserts a tilde character with Acrobat 9 Pro. Does it do that for you too?

I'm posting this with Firefox, and the Insert key has no effect with this text box, but it does if I'm using Internet Explorer.
