Interactive Contact Sheet

Hi, im a student photographer and currently do the odd wedding for friends family.

as a student i am trying to save as much as money as i can, i have noticed that the output method on Photoshop CS5 is a contact sheet in the form of a PDF file.

my idea/hope is that there is some way of havin an interactive "Tick Box" that can be assigned to each image with its name, so you can email it to clients and they can select the images they want and return it to you like a normal interactive form, but the data tells you which images(s) they have chosen.
Thus, saving time and MONEY!

is there such an option???

Are the weddings occasionally odd too?:)

You could probably place check boxes by the pictures with Acrobat and then use the Distribute Form command to email them. The Distribute Form command will automatically reader-enable your form for use in the free Reader and provide instructions for returning it to you. If you're interested in this process check out the following tutorial Creating, distributing and collecting data from PDF forms.

thanks very much for takin the time to respond, i was wondering of ot os possible for it to automatically do this, so tha when you collect the data it gives you the images reference number.

i have tried to do this, but it is very time consuming as i have to rename each of the check boxes!

thanx again!

If the images always appear on the same positions in the file, it's possible to create a script that will automatically place unique check-boxes under each one of them.
You could then attach that script to a menu item, or even use it in a batch process on multiple files.

If the images always appear in the same positions, you could also use the Document > Replace Pages command to change out the underlying images.
