Is there javascript that I can attach to a button that would pop up a blank email screen? Would it be dependent on which email program the user has? I'd need the user to be able to say who to send it to.

If not, is there a way to create a form that is basically a large text entry box that can then be submitted- but that each indvidual user can define what email address to send it to.

This needs to be cross-platform.
Thank you!

Hi,

You don't need JavaScript (although you can use it). Create a button and set the Action of the button to Submit and enter Mailto: as the URL. Without an eMail address, the email client will simply open an empty email with no addressee.

It does require a local client. This doesn't work in a web-based email client.
