Hello All!!

I am a ROOKIE trying to do something with Acrobat 8.0 Pro.

Can somebody tell me How can I change the default number of characters in the Text Field Properties? Acrobat has it set up for 10 and I need to change it to 15.

Thank you for much needed help!!

Hi cramia,

Activate the Select Object tool (on the Advanced Editing toolbar)- this makes all fields on the PDF selectable. Double click on the text field and under the Options tab check the "Limit of" check box and enter the number of characters in the entry field.

Hope this helps,

I know about that but I'd like to change the DEFAULT from 10 to 15.

Thank you for taking time to answer!

I'm not sure it's possible. You can set other default field properties, but after a bit of testing, it doesn't appear this is one of them.
