Make Field Not Enterable

I have a form with 2 fields on it.
1 is a dropdown to select Tax or Tax Exempt.

The other field is where the user would enter the taxable amount if taxable.

I would like it if they select Tax in the Dropdown the Tax Field is useable for entry and if they select Tax Exempt the Tax Field in Un-Useable.

Can I do this or can it be done?

It professional, networking, technical, graphical, imaging, froms.

You can add a JavaScript to the field that will lock the field based on certain event criteria. See the JavaScript Specification manual for help in writing JavaScripts.
