My reset button does not reset all the fields in my form

I have added form fields to an Order Form using the form tools in Acrobat Professional 8 - some text, some checkboxes, some calculations, and set the reset button to clear all fields. However some of the fields will not reset.
I have checked the properties of these fields and compared them to others that will reset and found no diferences. All the fields containing calculations and check boxes reset but not some of the fields containing just entered data.

I have this problem on occasion.
Try the negative approach. Instead of saying which fields to reset, say reset all fields except...

I am afraid this did not work. I left a couple of fields off the reset list as you suggested but the same fields will not reset each time - they are scattered all over the form with no obvious pattern. The properties of all the fields are identical as far as I can see.

Is there a default value set for the fields?

Not as far as I know. I just put text fields over the relevant places in my pdf and some reset and some don't.
I have just found out that the print button does not work either. The print window comes up but when you try to actually print the document you get an error messsage which differs from user to user. I think I will scrap this form and start again.
I tried making it in LiveCycle but could not figure out how to make my fields calculate as I had done in the Acrobat version. It is a stock order form that needs fields added and multiplied to get totals.
