No print out form fields if they have no data (Acrobat 8)

I have a number of documents which can be filled out online or printed and filled out by pen.

On some fields there are options which the use selects through a combo box. This is laid over the top of the text which the student would see if they printed it off and the combobox print was not visible.

My question is "is it possible to set each form field so that if it is left blank it won't print, otherwise if it is filled in online the field will print in the normal manner?"

This way the student has the choice of how to fill in the form - Online or pen.

Thanks I'm new to javascript so any help would be appreciated.

You can create a "Will Print" action to hide all blank fields, and then you will need a "Did Print" action to make those fields visible after printing.
