Is it possible to generate a pdf document that users of Acrobat Reader could add an image and enter information in three fields online? We spend a lot of time customizing fliers inhouse. We could save a lot of time if our agents could open the file and make the minor customizations themselves.

My Product Information:
Reader 8, Windows

Unfortunately you can't change a button face via JavaScript in Adobe Reader. So importing a new image on a button field is not possible with Reader.

You can offer your clients a workaround, but you'll have to offer a little guidance on your Web site to instruct many Reader users how to perform the operation.

On your end you need to create the three fields in Acrobat Pro. You then need to enable the PDF in Acrobat 8 Pro using the Advanced > Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader menu command. This command enables the file for both saving field data and for comment and markup. The instructions you need to provide the Reader users is to either take a screen shot of an image or copy an image in an image editor such as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. Once copied to the clipboard, open Reader and press Ctrl + V (Win) or Command + V (Mac). The keyboard shortcut pastes the image as a Stamp comment. Once pasted the image can be sized, rotated, and positioned on the page.

Ted,
Thanks for the answer; however, I forgot to mention that I am using version 7 of Acrobat Pro. Thus I am unable to locate Enable User Rights under Advanced.
As an aside, I discovered a hint yesterday (http://www.planetpdf.com/enterprise/article.asp?ContentID=importimagesintofieldwith&gid=6055) where I can set up a button to import an image. This seemed to do the trick just fine. The problem, when I load this pdf file by FTP and then try to open it from the web in my browser, I get a bunch of jumbled code. On the other hand, I can send the file by email and the peope at the other end can open it in their browser, from their computer, and it works fine.
Another issue came up as well, I lost some of my Illustrator editting capability after entering these fields. My goal is to generate a printable file in Illustrator, save it as a pdf, add the fields, load it on the web, have our agents modify and save the file and then send it to a print house. The problem is I loose the quarter inch bleed on the outside of the file.
Thanks for your help.
